Yubico is the company that produces the YubiKey, a small USB device that you can use for two-factor authentication. This is useful to to make hacking your accounts more difficult, because you can set up most services (such as GMail, WhatsApp, etc.) such that it requires a YubiKey as well as your regular password.
Up until now, Yubico only had a USB-A version. At CES, they have revealed a smaller version for USB-C laptops called the YubiKey 4C. We were wondering if they would bring out an even smaller version, but their press release says: “We are working on an additional smaller YubiKey form factor with a USB-C design akin to the YubiKey 4 Nano, but do not yet have a time frame for availability”.
